This Ouwens Casserly Website Case Study will cover the challenges, processes and outcomes that led to a successful redesign in 2021.

Ouwens Casserly is one of Australia’s leading independent Real Estate agencies, selling more than 1,000 homes a year and managing close to 1,700 investment properties.

Based in Adelaide and established in 2014, OC has sold more than $7 billion in property and employs a team of more than 100+ passionate property professionals. Their collective vision is to be the most trusted and well-respected agency in SA, with the sole purpose of helping people to realise their dreams and aspirations through property.

After undergoing a brand refresh, the time was right for OC to consider an update for the company website.

 


 

The Challenge:

While the existing website had performed well for a number of years, there was no lead tracking in place in terms of measuring form submissions or phone calls. Putting all of this information in front of the OC team was a priority to ensure that the website would deliver tangible results.

The site was also missing a strong lead generation feature – meaning many users would reach the site and ultimately leave without taking that final step of inquiring or registering their interest in the services offered by the Sales or Property Management teams.

 


 

The Process:

Working alongside the amazing team at Ouwens Casserly, the STAFFLINK web team were able to clearly define what was required from this project, which would be launched alongside the updated company branding.

The requirements for a successful website build would comprise of:

– a modern, clean and easy to use site that is a true representation of the OC brand
– functional lead flow and digital appraisal opportunities
– pages designed to be lightweight, highly responsive and fast to load
– property listings that represent the brand and can be used for effective marketing campaigns

Initial scoping sessions were followed by a UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) Design phase, where the OC team were able to see an exact mockup of how the website would look upon the completion of development. The designs were completed in a couple of weeks and allowed everyone to see what was in store at a much earlier date than some other development processes would.

The development phase was fairly straight forward, with the STAFFLINK team creating custom templates for all of the different pages types. During this time, the property feeds and data syncs required for launch were built out and tested to ensure the performance would be optimal at launch.

Finally, the Digital Appraisal functionality (What’s your property worth?) was installed on the home page and various landing pages to ensure lead generation opportunities would be available for users in a simple and effective offering.

 


 

The Outcome:

The new website was launched in late 2021 following a successful build, with integrations set up with the client’s CRM, RateMyAgent, Corelogic and other selected providers.
